Shrimp Fries Stocking Process 02 – Stages of Activity

In the foregoing discussion has described that shrimp fries stocking process basically represents the most recent activities of preparation of land for shrimp fries cultivation after all stages considered optimal for the process of fry moving from two different environments.

In the process of shrimp fries stocking, activity stages which is commonly performed includes:
  1. Shrimp fries movement from transportation means to a specified location to conduct shrimp fries stocking activities. This activity needs to be done carefully in order not to cause stress to the fries which are still inside the packages.

  2. Shrimp fries sampling, there is the activities that are conducted to determine the population and the condition of fry in each packaging. This activity needs to be done although has been conducted previous sampling in hatchery. The discussion of shrimp fries sampling have been described in previous discussions.

  3. Acclimatization process, there is an adjustment process of two different environmental conditions (from the hatchery to the pond water) so that changes in these conditions does not cause stress for the fries.

  4. Shrimp fries stocking activities after going through the process of acclimatization deemed to have been optimal as an initial step in beginning a process of cultivation at that period.
The stages of shrimp fries stocking as described above is a general process which common practice in shrimp culture. One step that can be regarded as the most critical stages is the acclimatization process which is described separately in the next discussion.
