Shrimp Farming Area Development 6 – Socio Community Approach

In macro means that the social community conditions in the region around the area of shrimp farming development, which are always interacting with farming activities and actors within the region both socially and for other purposes.



This situation requires an appropriate approach for the creation of a conducive climate, accessibility and social acceptability towards the development of shrimp farming areas, so that should be considered following a premise like these:
  1. Shrimp farming areas development planning should involve society leaders / local stakeholders;

  2. Shrimp farming areas development are able to absorb labor from the surrounding area;

  3. Shrimp farming areas development are able to create new jobs for the community surrounding area;

  4. Community life within the pond area does not cause social envy people off site;

  5. Shrimp farming areas development needs to consider the livelihoods of local communities and land use patterns in order to avoid conflicts of interest;

  6. Shrimp farming areas development can grow the awareness and knowledge of the community in an effort to improve living standards and welfare of their own.
Socio community approach, as macro is conducted with reference to the value of benefits and flexibility received by the community in the surrounding region, so that activities can spur the development of shrimp farms as well as encourage social and economic growth into a better direction. In contrast to shrimp farming development areas, such conditions is a 'society comfortable zone' for shrimp farming activities or in other words there is a 'symbiotic mutualism' between both of them.
