Indonesia Aquaculture Community (Masyarakat Akuakultur Indonesia – MAI)
Indonesia Aquaculture Community (Masyarakat Akuakultur Indonesia – MAI) was declared 30 October 2001 at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) Semarang (Central Java), together with Indonesia Aquaculture Seminar 2001.
The initiator of this community was: Agung Sudaryono; and as facilitator: Prof. Dr. dr. Ign. Riwanto, Sp.BD (Head of UNDIP Research Institute), while it declared by: Dr.Fatuchri Sukadi, Dr.Agung Sudaryono, R.P. Poernomo, Dr.Endhay K. Kontara, Prof. Dr.Johannes Hutabarat, Dr. Edison Saade, Drs.Kurnia Subakti, MM.
MAI have been decree at 7 June 2002 by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rokhmin Dahuri, MSc (Ministry of Marine Affair and Fishery) at BBAP.
MAI give a platform for members to share information and knowledge, to develop information network with several colleagues which same interest and care to MAI. This group invite any parties or head of institution, ministries, private sectors or regulation makers to plan an association to present a scientific meeting agenda or business or exhibition in connection with aquaculture.
