Shrimp Seeds (Fry) Dispersing Process 03 – Acclimatization Process
Basic meaning of acclimatization like explained above is an adjustment process of two different environmental conditions (from hatchery to pond water environment), so that change of condition will not generate stress for shrimp seeds (fry). This activity need conducted carefully in order to minimize shrimp seed (fry) stress level to environment changes, so that quality and condition of shrimp seeds (fry) can be preserved optimally.

The used stages on acclimatization process including:
- Shrimp seeds (fry) moving which still in its pack to pond water. Strive so that fry packs are collected at one site that easy to be reached (it usually at pond boundary or at pond corner) which given by constrictor so that the packs of fry will not disseminate. This matter is conducted to facilitate monitoring of fry activity and condition during acclimatization.
During this process, the fry packs is better not opened early (except the packs which have been used to fry sampling) and let several moments in pond water on closed condition. Hereinafter monitoring to some packs of the fry, if within the packs have seen dewy hence the packs of fry have can be opened. This indicator indicates that temperature between pond water and the pack of fry is same relatively. Do same matter for packs of fry which have shown the same indicator. - At opening fry packs time, conduct pond water addition into fry packs slowly by using palm so a condition part of fry pack within pond water. Let this condition at several moments, and do same matter for others pack of fry.
Hereinafter, monitoring to condition and activity of fry at some packs. If the fry within the pack have seen active at pack boundary, hence this matter indicate that the fry are ready carried over in pond water. This indicator indicates that condition of water quality between pond water and fry pack is same relatively. - Move the fry within pack to pond water carefully if monitoring result have shown indicator like item no. 2 above. Conduct same activity for others pack of fry which have shown the same indicator.
- Conduct pond water waste cleaning that resulted by shrimp seeds (fry) dispersing process in order not to generate constraint on next shrimp culture process.
