Shrimp Seed (Fry) Dispersing Process 01 - Background

Shrimp farming activities is a process to care of shrimp within pond from fry age till reach the selected measure (size) which deemed to have ever been competent financially and technical to be conducted harvesting process. Fry disperse as an early process of course also has a very strategic role in determining successfully of shrimp farming.

As simply, activity of fry disperse can be interpreted as process evacuation of fry from two different environments (from hatchery/natural into a pond) with also different environment characteristics. Some matters which become a logical basic to conduct fry disperse activities are covering:

1. The fry have very sensitive characteristic to environment change around its, so that in process the fry disperse as possible the difference between two environment can be reduced as minimum as possible.
   
   
2. The fry have moulting frequency (commutation of husk) a more regular which is compared to adult shrimp. Moulting condition is a critical phase for shrimp, because in a moulting condition, a shrimp is very brittle to environment.change and disease attack. The difference between two environment otherwise can depressed as minimum as possible will result the fry will be more often moulting which caused by stress factor so that opportunity of happening of problems also will be more often.
   
   
3. The disperse fry process will very determine efficacy factors of a shrimp culture cycle process in the case of shrimps uniform level, survival rate (SR), food conversion ratio (FCR), shrimp biomass and indirectly also have an effect on to efficacy of financial.

Related with logical basic like mentioned above hence a fry disperse process must be conducted as good as possibly from preparation process early (its have been discussed in the description before) and at implementation time and also post fry dispersing. Mainly, especial purposes of fry disperse activity is to providing newly media which comfortable and safety for fry to pass off next life activities within the pond.

Based on understanding, logical basic and objective of fry dispersing activity there are some needed factors to consider in conducting fry disperse. The factors are:

1. Fry quality. The fry which will dispersed have to good quality through selection process include disease wafting, size uniform level, body completely, sensitivity to excitement, etc.. The selection Process to fry quality is better be conducted in hatchery/place that fry come from.
   
   
2. Location that fry come from. Fry better come from the location that not too far with pond location so that relative awake fry quality. If fry location too far from pond location hence worried of there will be degradation of fry quality manifestly during transportation process to the pond location.
   
   
3. Dispersion fry time shall not be conducted at sunshine time of in a grilling hot condition because it will very have an effect to fry mortality level that resulted by the sun heat. Fry disperse better be conducted at gloomy sunshine time (night, morning, evening) and weather is relative nicely so that fry can tolerance of the sun hot and change of its natural environment.
   
   
4. Pond water quality at fry dispersing time better have adequate natural feed availability as effort to take care of life level and size uniform level of fry in early period of before conducting artificial feed giving.
